Unrated Snaphots

Sorry MorningStar, another one.

I like to try and view and rate all the snapshots that appear. If they break the rules, are not finished or are quite frankly, cough, bad, ill just mark as -.

If they are good, but not special ill give them a + and maybe, maybe not give a comment.

And last but not least if the are top notch they will get + and comment accordingly.

My point here is i miss some and even go a few days without getting to this site at all. What i am after perhaps is a snapshots not rated list...

That way to avoid slogging through the ones you have already addressed, you can just select this list, and away you go.

Also i find that some picture are not easy to grade, and i sometimes leave one or two days before i make a final on it, and this would help keep track of those, and these are just as important as the ones that got immediate + or -. They all deserve a rate.

We had this planned for a long time, but here's a preview of how it works:

On a snapshot page, the "Random prev" and "Random next" links on the side will not show you a random image but rather show the next unrated snapshot.

We're going to extend this to all random views (including the gallery views themselves). Give us another day or two.

Note: If you're not logged in, it will continue to simply show links to next/prev random snapshots. If you are logged in, the links will change to the next unrated snapshot.

Cool / Nice.

However it seems to only cycle between two pictures. If you rate one and then click again it brings in another picture to rate, but then will again only cycle through those two pictures for review.

This is for either forward or backward directions.

Is this intended, or just because you are still working on it...?

Actually ill revise that. It cycles through three images.

If i click previous, it gives me snapshots
125, and 190 and cycles on each previous click.

If i click next it give me snapshots
190, and 216 and cycles on each next click.

If i rate one it would then bring in another number, and cycle in the same manner...

I have left these snapshots unrated for you to test.

Yep, that was actually exactly how it was meant to work, showing you the next unrated snapshot. There's is no real random component in this. If you haven't rated a snapshot, it will continue to remain "the next unrated" one, to nag to rate the darn snap already!

We've now changed this to just one button, "Random next" if you're not logged in, and "Random unrated" if you are.

The vertical order of highest rated, most recent, and random has also been changed.

Gallery order much better, felt wrong having most recent at bottom somehow.... Ta.
