Snapshot History

This one may take a bit of disk space, but maybe a nice little touch.

All snapshots move up, move down. When you come to them you have no idea how they have faired. Also if they are your creations it might be nice to see their path to hell, or glory.

Each change of rate would be registered. Be a lot to keep all positions, but what about keeping the top rating, and then 50 either side of the highest grade it reached, and when... Could see a trend of rise and demise for each snapshot.

Believe it or not, such a feature is indeed in the works. It's not exactly in the way you describe it, but it is indeed an overview of your public artworks, showing their current rank, the number of votes, and the number of comments. This display would be accessible via a link in your profile.

TheBroth wasn't really designed to become an art competition in itself, so at this point we aren't considering to provide extensive means to track "how well an artwork does" over time.

What we do observe is that new snapshots can shoot to the top quite quickly (because they are "fresh"?), but as more and more people vote, it evens out again.

Having said that, if many users request it, we could possibly store the highest rank an artwork has reached and display that to the snapshot taker.

Thanks for that Markus, I agree that this wasnt intended to be a competitive site, however it does seem to be leaning that way slowly / slightly.

Perhaps what I originally considered is too much, however your proposed and offered if requested feature would suffice. It would be nice to see highest position attained somewhere, even if its just available next to the picture in 'Your Snapshots view.'
