Each artist's page could show information such as the
artworks to which the artist has contributed,
the artist's global Broth karma, 'member since' etc.

Similar to a chat feature, posting artist profiles somehow takes away from the anonymity of TheBroth. Some people think that's a good thing, others want to keep that mystery of art being produced by faceless and more or less anonymous internet users.

Other considerations are that user profiles lead to a competitive aspect - something that TheBroth decidedly doesn't want to encourage. IMHO, TheBroth is about collaboration, not who is best or worst.

What do you think? Should artists be listed? Should some of their TheBroth-activity-related details be shown? (without giving away personal information of course)

Well we now DO have artist profile pages. It's not fully completed, but many of the features already work:

I think that if they want TheBroth to be that way then they should just restrict themselves from making a username. Then we all get the best of both worlds.
