Although I am as guilty as a fair slice of other TheBroth members here it was a pretty lacklustre turnout for the second competition…
Honours to those that made the effort…Helpful Walrus, Misschatterbox, Tame Swallow, Evora
Having said that misschatterbox is right. Who won…!
Fairs fair to those who actually entered; perhaps they should all get a prize just for entering...
I would not be opposed to a halt to these compos until we have a higher threshold to the people actually using the site.
Again as has been hinted at there are many more developments and surprises around the corner that are more important to get right and implemented than being too concerned about a compo for half a dozen people...sorry..4…
If these yet to be born features are anywhere near as good as what we already have they will definitely draw in a larger crowd... cant wait...
Brrr... |

I hear you all, and you're all making good points.
First of all - apologies are in order. We were away for over a month and so it was more difficult for us to keep up with current issues at TheBroth. We're back now and we'll do our best to catch up.
As you know all know, the Panda competition wasn't a great success in terms of number of entrants, and yes indeed, we may discontinue these compos until we have more users on TheBroth.
Basically, all those that entered the competition have won. Congratulations to those that entered - you did a terrific job with a rather difficult subject matter.
This time, the contest was judged by our sponsor, Panda Security.
The winners are:
First Prize: Artwork 19144 - Helpful Walrus
Second Prize: Artwork 19207 - Evora
Third Prize: Artwork 19104 - Tame Swallow
Fourth Prize: Artwork 19071 - misschatterbox
Congratulations to the winners!
--
The winners were determined by the folks at Panda, and us TheBroth admins concur with how they've decided, with one exception: we feel that misschatterbox also deserves a prize. So, both Tame Swallow and misschatterbox are deserving winners of the third prize!
Our system is programmed to only handle 3 winners but regardless, misschatterbox will be sent a prize as well and shall be considered equal 3rd prize winner. |

|
|
I've sent out emails today with download links for the winners of our Panda Art competition - problem is, the links don't work (anymore).
I'm truly sorry for this mishap - I've contacted our friends at Panda to look into this, and we'll send out working download links as soon as possible. |

Update for the winners:
The download links for your prizes actually do work! They're just very long and in the email they were cut into two lines. Just put them as one line in your browser and they'll work just fine.
Once again, congratulations to the winners and a great big thanks to Panda Security, our contest sponsors.
Winners, please let us know what you think of your prize! I hope you find it useful and recommend it to others.
Regards,
Markus |
