I like it so far. I like the addition of the Recent Friend Activity. This keeps me posted on my friend's whereabouts. I think it looks good so far, I just miss the last forum post entries. I can't think of anything else.

I agree that the forum is key to the profile page as it is where all the discussion happens - you forget to look for it if it is not easily visible.

I am less interested in how many comments have been made to people's art work since i made a comment. I suspect that people want to see if more comments have been made to their own artwork since they put them in the gallery. (that means those that contributed, not just the one who took the snappy)

Otherwise it is good to see the pages format being changed and improved, I like the fact you can see the thumbnails of the pictures you have submitted to the gallery - thats really cool! Very Happy

I agree with TS, why would we need to be interested in how many comments were made after mine? Also, shouldn't the little annoying numbers of "3 replies" be erased after I view those 3 replies?

I also think that in the main page, instead of 10-comments or 10-of something, it should be minimized again to 5-of something, because the page looks crowded at the bottom. This can also offer extra space in the future when you do bring back your advertising/banners.

This is what the tracking feature is for - I suspect not many people know that it automatically tracks your snapshots, but that you can also enable it on a per snapshot feature, in case you were a contributor or you just like to follow up on the comments on any particular artwork.

Going back to the new feature: Personally I find it very useful to see whether there are replies to my recent artwork comments - this way actual discussions of the artworks can develop! Otherwise, if I make a comment to an artwork, this comment will be lost until somebody else finds it by accident.

I suggest:

1. That you can change your code.
2. That your profile shows; Gender, age and status.
3. Skins.
4. Improved avatars. (bigger + avatar creator)
5. public guest book.

1. By code, do you mean country code?
2. What do you mean by status? Marital status?
3. While we want to provide personalization options, we don't want the total freedom (and chaos!) of something like Myspace. What sort of skins were you thinking of?
4. Yup, avatar creator and bigger avatars are a great idea and I personally can't wait to have them. In addition, we're thinking of allowing members to "decorate" your username, so you could make a graffiti tag name out of your username.
5. Hmm... not sure about that, will have to have a discussion with MorningStar/Markus W.

All in all, great suggestions PanterA!

i think personal information is up to each individual to decide on whether they want to share that with other members as they get to know each other, like in any friendship that is developing. Anonyminity is important here.

- simple colour skins. Maybe with little effects..
for profile only. It can also show you a bit about how this person is.

Very Happy

I think it shouldnt be up to each person if they want to display stuff like this on thebroth like Tame swallow.
If they wanted to they should have the oppurtunity of writing some text about themselves in their profile..

1.this is pretty strange thing actually that we cant change even reset our passwords.IF i go with forgotten my login details it only sends me my OLD password and no option to reset it as it says in FAQ.

2.. mmmm "Online status" soundz familiar.... i remember there used to be this feature but it never actually worked so........but go here http://www.thebroth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5596

i think it should atleast show your gender plz i hate when i get chat replies like "OMG u R BOY i thought u were a girl Razz "

age? well people may like to keep it under wraps so it shouldn't be urgent thing to fill in or else we will end up like myspace profiles saying "age: 100 yrs OLD" so it should be choosable thing to be shown or not to be shown.

3.Skin - YESSS or at least some degree of personalization which could be made limited to some specific central area.although i hate most of the myspace pages(black bg and some dirty font color yuck) but i guess some freedom with choosing color schemes and background should be there along with choice to have or not have content that we want to have on board like i may not want to see "my recent comment made" on board i may want them to be under a link or something Smile . Total freedom DOES lead to chaos so a basic profile structure should be followed.

4.yeah who doesnt want bigger avatars.its ok i suppose to have an avtar creator as well it sounds interesting lets see Smile

5.Ya i think we should have a gallery of user where u can post anything(images, artwork mashups, whatever)

6.on profile page we currently have "favorite artworks" and "gallery submissions".i think the "gallery submission" thing should be as flexible as "fav artwork" because i want MY submissions to be shown in MY way and may be i wanna add comments too Smile.

7.currently we have 2 different profiles forum profile and TheBroth profile may be one can do it Razz.

Thanks for pointing that out! I've edited that answer and removed a few other questions and answers that no longer apply because we've customised the forum software.
