It's been requested since TheBroth's inception, and now it is finally here: MULTI TILE MOVE!!!

It is now possible to create a rectangular marquee (also sometimes called "Lasso", or "marching ants selection") and then to move all tiles within that area at once!

This feature is currently available only FOR ROOM OWNERS IN THEIR OWN ROOM.

== How to use multi-move ==

Click on the some white space on the canvas while holding down the CONTROL key, and drag open a selection. (Be careful to release the mouse on white space as well, otherwise it won't work right.)

Now drag that area around the screen.

Please note, multi-tile moves are only sent to the server (and thus updated for other users) once you get rid of the marquee, by clicking elsewhere on the canvas for example.

== What other users see ==

If you do multi-tile moves while others are in the room, this is what they are going to experience:

Depending on how many tiles you've moved at once, other users in the room either see a big cloud of tiles move (this can slow down their computer a bit), or if it's REALLY a lot of tiles, then the tiles just jump to the new position.

== What the future holds ==

Soon, room owners can decide (via a checkbox in the room edit page) whether they want to grant the multi-move ability also to OTHER users in their room.

If you did that in a public room, you're probably inviting chaos and wanton destruction, but if you do it in a friends-only room, it should be ok.

At this point in time, keyboard commands have no effect on the marquee or the tiles within the marquee, but we may change that in the future.

It is currently not possible to rotate the marquee, but we hope to add marquee rotation soon.

Warning, there is a new bug.

When you're done moving, you must control-click within the selection. Otherwise the multi-move is NOT being sent to the server, and it will be only on your screen. So when you refresh, it's not really there.

Please control-click within the selection after a multi-move!

Just a quick update: Multi-tile rotation should now work too. Just rotate the selection with the mouse, like you would with a single tile.

We're still working on implementing keyboard commands and some other details of multi-move. Stay tuned! Smile
