Vivian, would you describe the feeling as deja vu? I get that all the time in dreams.

a good theory on deja vu is that, sometimes as our thoughts are being formed, they travel along familiar pathways in our brain and therefore are percieved as something that has happened before. It makes sense to me.

When interpreting dreams I don't bother with those "dream dictionaries", they're worse than useless. Symbolism is personal to each of us, an apple in one dream could mean something completely different in another.

My method is to think about what's been happening to me/around me recently then try to relate the dream to that. You'll find with practice you get a lot better. I'm now at the stage where I can tell friends what their dreams mean with a few questions about their personal life etc.

A friend once had a recurring dream of a lion that bit her head off as she was trying to get into her house. I explained that the lion was her father, biting her head off symbolised her father taking control of her life (ie "taking over" her head) and the fact she couldn't get into her house meant she didn't feel secure there, the fact her husband and kids were in the house in the dream but didn't hear her knocking and yelling showed that she was scared her family didn't see the danger/didn't understand how scared she was about it. I knew her well and knew about her past family history so was able to instantly see what her dream was trying to tell her. She explained her feelings to her family and the dream stopped. (there's a lot more to it than this, but this is as far as I can go without revealing anything I know she'd want kept private)

The thing to remember is that dreams are a way of ridding your subconcious of things that are bothering it (or that's the way I see it, others may disagree) Yes, there are what are classed as "prophetic dreams" but normally they're the exception to the rule.

which dream? lol!

but bebi, on your thing on deciphering dreams, i've actually found from my short year or two of experience of actually paying some attention to my dreams, that if you quickly think of something, either as a fleeting thought or a breif self-reminder, without remembering it the rest of the day, it will be in your dream.

example, earlier this week, my dad read every email addressed to me, because he has no rspect for anyone under 40. later, i told my friend, and she said she sent me an email about her ex boyfriend, and it was really long. i told her it was no longer in my inbox and she said shed resend it. so two days ago, i quickly went on youtube to show my sister omsething, and noticed that my inbox was empty, which reminded me of my emails, so i thought, (really quickly) "mmm, i wonder if she's gonna remember to resend that thing about anthony." so sure enouh, that night, somewhere in my dream, i went onto youtube and saw my messages, and there were 3 of them that said "about anthony...."

but normally the main substance of the dream is something i recently forgot about, that i had thought a lot about before. thats why after i started to get over trent, he was in every dam dream of mine.

lol vivi, and i agree with u bebi i think ur own personal interpretations of dreams is best as its more personal to u and u cant really read the meanings out of a book, i mean they can help, but they arent official meanings, has anyone ever had a tarot card reading? i know i had one once and it was pretty spooky how accurate it was...

I have my own Tarot cards. I did a reading for myself when I first got them, then the following day I did another. I'd shuffled the cards well, so when at least three came out in the exact same places I decided to put them up for a while LOL it was a little weird.

The best way to learn Tarot is to pick a card a day then the next day note down next to the card name what's happened. Do it daily and you can build up your own interpretations of what the cards mean to you Wink

I do still use the "book" definitions, but I'm using the card a day method and seeing how it pans out. I've been doing it for a few weeks now so it's still early days.

The best deck of cards to get is one that's been given to you. My deck was given to me by a neighbour, it was handed down to her by her grandmother. She didn't have any interest in it and asked me one day if I was into Tarot, of course I said yes. I have another deck but this one feels special to me somehow, I won't even let anyone else touch it.

My dreams never came true. Recently, I dreamt that I got married to my crush. But it will never come true cuz he will obviously like a pretty girl, not an ugly one like me.

Awww Spicy, I bet you're nowhere near ugly!! There's someone for everyone out there, sometimes it just takes time. I never found my soul mate until I was 27. I'd just like to say that personality is a much more important quality than looks, and your personality is great Very Happy

Bebi is absolutly right Spicy there is nothing wrong with your personality. You are a very sweet girl.

All teenage girls all over the world think they are not pretty but it simply isnt true.

There is someone that is just for you and believe it or not he is looking for you now. Very Happy

We need to get out of the notion that beauty means everything, it doesn't. Beauty is only skin deep. Everyone is beautiful in their own special way. If crushes don't like you, don't worry there will be a boy that will like you for you, not because of how you look on the outside. Young girls have a nasty way of sabotaging themselves by making themselves believe that they aren't good enough as the girl on the COSMO cover. The problem is that we don't learn to accept ourselves.

I always had low self-esteem growing up. I never realized how beautiful I was until very recently. I looked at my past pictures now that I am older and realized that my low self-esteem stopped me from accomplishing a lot of things. Also, it ate away at me and made me have many vile thoughts and feelings. What you've got to do is love yourself. Be yourself, and be happy with the qualities and accomplishments that you have. You are not ugly, no one is!
