Saw "Fearless" on DVD last weekend. It's awesome, especially if you like somewhat fantastic fight choreagraphy using lots of wirework.

Jet Li demonstrates his prowess using fancy fist and foot work, and he's equally skilled with swords, the long staff, sticks and the 3 sectional staff (see pic).

The story of fearless is about a chinese Wushu fighter who in 1910 defeated foreign challengers and became a world champion of sorts, and a hero for the chinese people. The story is based on true facts but takes artistic liberties to make for more compelling viewing. More about it at http://www.fearlessthemovie.com/ and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fearless_%282006_film%29

The photography is aweome and so is the fighting. It's a beautiful movie, with amazing and tense fight scenes that occasionally make you wince when you see the hero break yet another arm (crrrack!) of a hapless attacker.

For lovers of martial arts movies - this one is as good as it gets. Even if you leave out the more supernatural stunts, there's plenty of real Kung Fu to be seen here.

Woo-Ping Yuen did the martial arts choreography in Fearless, so if you liked the fighting in The Matrix and Kill Bill (he choreographed them as well) then I'd highly recommend Fearless.

Oh... the story's quite good too Razz

Have you seen The Protector? According to the front cover, no stuntmen, cgi's or wires were used! Pretty impressive. Although, I wouldn't go nuts over elephants. Okay, maybe the baby elephant, but that's it!
