The advert on the right side of the screen appears to be overlapping the forum on this thread http://www.thebroth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=598 Not a great problem, it just makes using Edit a little difficult as it's almost covered.

Hi Bebi.

The page you refer to seems ok to us. We have tested it in a few different browsers and can't reproduce the problem you reported.

It is most likely caused by the long words such as the code snippets or slideshow URL in your second post. However, this is only a problem if you have oversized text. Do you know if your browser is displaying oversized text? You can check and set the size of the text display in the View menu of Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Could you please post a screenshot of the problem page? It would help us to work out what is going wrong. Could you also say which browser (and version number) you were using?

Thanks very much for all your helpful bug reports Bebi. I like the slideshow too! Very Happy

Right, I did full screenshots for a start before I realised that they were making this thread do the same thing lol I've cropped them so they're not so wide, if you want the full ones let me know.

I've been thinking about this, and to my (limited) knowledge it seems to be that the ads don't let the page expand horizontally, the posts just slip under them. I'm tending to agree with you that it may be the code boxes causing this problem in this post.

Win XP Pro SP2, IE6
Screen res 1024x768 on a 17" CRT monitor (if that makes a difference)
I'm thinking of upgrading to IE7, unsure yet.

Hmmm it's doing it for me on here now,
obviously the pics have forced the thread
to go wider than the adverts allow.

I have fixed the problem. The comments should now fit within their columns and not slide under the ads.

If a comment takes up too much width, such as when it has a wide image, it will get a horizontal scrollbar.

This post, and the one that Bebi mentioned (http://www.thebroth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=598) should now be ok.

Thanks Bebi. Let us know if this is still not working for you Smile
