Browser: Internet Explorer 7
Operating system: Windows XP
Time: Sorry i am not sure. But it happened around 14:30 or so. (UTC+1)
Okay this is what happened. I was making this picture:
link: http://www.thebroth.com/art16617.html
after a while some people came and ruined some of it. i quickly kicked him/her out. a little freeze that lasted about a second happened. i moved some other tiles. (I often press the preview button to see what it looks like) I pressed the preview button but it did not work! I wondered what was happening, but finished my picture. also i noticed that none of my friends (i got about fifty) logged in all the three hours i was making the picture and noone i didnt know joined the room neither.
I clicked the snapshot/rewind button and it said:
Error (And something other i can't remember sorry )
Then i got back to my profile and entered my room again.
Now Shehzeen was there. And she had been there for a while as i could see. (she moved about a hundred tiles)
BUT the picture wasnt finished anymore! it was only at the point where i kicked out that bully.
I asked Shehzeen to move her tiles away from the centered picture (thanks Shehzy i appreciate it)
and started to make it all again. (the horse and the sky)
Another bully came in and destryed some of it (therefore the one tile the unregistered moved that i didnt notice, actually I find it weird that the unregistered was blue like members but in the snapshot his/her name was grey.)
I kicked out the bully and now it all froze. i couldnt move tiles or anything!
I refreshed the room and hoped that it would work.
The same thing happened again a little later.
Just that time the only thing i could click was the exit button in the top right of the window (top left button if you are using firefox)
I had to close the window and open a new browser.
I got back to the room and finished it and finally i could snap it.
I'm not sure if you need the correct time to fix the bug but i dont think so. (in this case at least not)
But it happened around 14:30 or so. (UTC+1) |

I've been having a little trouble with TheBroth locking up today (hourglass cursor) but I assumed it was probably my end... Mine happened between 5:15 and 6pm GMT (I know this because The Weakest Link was on LOL) about three times. Oh and I was in Mosaic.
As always - XP Pro SP2, IE6 |

Thank you for reporting these issues.
Based on the times that are being reported, I believe it was when we made some changes to the database format today. Each of these reformatting steps caused TheBroth to be unresponsive for about 20 seconds, and this could have led to the freezing you've experienced.
It shouldn't happen again over the weekend (if it does, we DO have a bug - I hope not!), and our database changes should have made the snapshot taking a lot quicker too, especially in terms of how long it takes until you can rewind after taking a snapshot.
Btw, cool picture!! |
