If the Knock Knock policy was taken up...
There is obviously a count of the karma ratings for each player. If so, (and appreciating that the indications are that the Award system is to be made, shall we say, finer in resolution), it would be interesting if the true behaviour level of players was clearly indicated (instead of a badge for well behaved etc.)
This would encourage bullies to behave because eventually no-one would let them into a room to engage in a communial work.
I appreciate the danger that everyone will lock themselves in and the Broth will become less welcoming.
Worth some thought though. |

I appreciate the intent and the motivation behind your request, and I want to explain what the Karma system really is meant to achieve.
It's meant to be a TEMPORARY indicator that somebody is not happy with what you're doing. It goes back to neutral by itself. The reason for this is that this system is meant to take into account that the same person may do something "bad" in one minute and something "good" in the next and vice versa.
Nothing protects you from getting minus votes from malicious people, so showing a permanent "Karma" value would only lead to friends being preoccupied to remove the bad Karma from each other, instead of focusing on the creative and collaborative aspects of TheBroth. |

| Knock Knock sounds good, but there would be the issue of new players possibly being excluded from not having had the time to built up a good indication of their behaviour. I do feel the member's room becoming obsolete, however. |

I completely agree. This effect is also visible in the snapshots rating. I have always found my friends (Ofcourse I thank u all for that ) giving me + (and dont stop u all ), even after giving ..umm "constructive" comments.. |

| well if there is no permanent KARMA rating(i agree with Markus on it)hows one suppose to know if the guy on door is bully or not.if u r talking about the players who know each other then i think instead of knock feature they can pm each other their passwords, and if like a curious newbee is on door who is not a bully ,denying might be somthing that may make him feel bad. |

| I too think a knock feature on locked rooms would be a good idea, and a one click expel buton for just the room owner could be an extra safegaurd |

| there is already a feature like your one-click expel thingy...the owner of the room just has to hold down the ctrl button and click - on the user's rating. it works oppisitly too, by clicking +, they user will have a full GREEN bar. |

The one click expel button is coming. Give us a week or two.
Also, if you look for little red hearts on the active rooms page, we now do have "friends-only" rooms. Go change your rooms!
I have the impression this is going to solve a LOT of problems. |

ooooo little red hearts... i like the friends rooms. that is a great idea. Hopefully this will solve a few problems and allow people to work in groups again. I know i'm off to change all my rooms to friends only instead of locked |
