I've tried loads of times to open a new, password protected and private room, using my own colours but theres always someone there already and the colours are wrong! Even going away and using the URL doesn't help!
Help!

Hello Timothy,

your room is currently set to 'Use shared mosaic'. When you choose this setting, the privacy options and tile colours of the shared mosaic are used, so it's not possible to have a password protected and/or private room that uses the shared mosaic.

Allow me to add: When you set your room to use the shared mosaic, it will simply display the existing global shared mosaic in your room.

Rooms that show the shared mosaic are always public, open for all, not hidden, and cannot be password protected.

Room privacy options only apply for unique mosaics. Of course they can still be shared with your friends, but they are different from the public shared mosaic, which you obviously cannot influence in terms of colours and privacy options.

Hidden rooms are listed in brackets in your profile page so that YOU can see them. Others won't be able to see the room listed anywhere.

New rooms are by default NOT hidden, and so people that were looking at the active rooms page saw your room popup when you created it, and it was visible there until you changed it to "hidden".

This is a side effect of the active rooms page, and we'll change it so that brand-new rooms are excluded from showing up on the active rooms page.

We now do have friends-only rooms. Anyone can come in and look, and even chat, but only friends of the room owner can drag.

Look for red hearts in the active rooms page. Smile
