I have just notice the votes on http://www.thebroth.com/art13036.html
28 votes 25 + 3- none of the neg’s left a comment and I wonder why 
Is it tactical voting? Is it something to do with the subject? Is the picture not good enough or maybe it’s personal?
If u leave a neg please leave a comment to say why u don’t like the picture, otherwise we have to assume your motives are not ethical.
So if u did leave a neg on this picture come back and leave a comment so I know the reason.
BTW not too difficult to find out who left them, someone who votes regular but their name missing from list [maybe], with some detective work on other good art work looking for a pattern, Not 100% but would give a good indicator.
PS this is not sour grapes I really don’t mind negative votes if they are left with a constructive comment |

Well I wouldn't quite go that far... It's already great that others can vote on your artwork, and we should be thankful for those that do rate artworks in the gallery on a regular basis.
As much as I understand where you're coming from, I personally feel that we should continue to allow others to vote anonymously. At least that way we you get a more honest rating. I think getting comments is always an extra bonus.
The current system discourages those that rated negatively to also comment - a very good thing in my opinion that keeps abusive comments to a minimum. On the other hand, those that really do have something constructive to say will do so, even if shows that they rated it minus, for whatever reason. |

I agree with Markus on this. I like the anonimity of being able to vote negatively if I think an artwork isn't that great. I don't want others confronting me negatively or being able to see that I gave them a negative rating, therefore, I try not to leave comments if I gave a negative rating.
I appreciate the idea of being able to rate +/-. Also, if I were you, I wouldn't be hunting down the person that gave you a negative. You shouldn't take it to the heart but rather appreciate the fact that someone took the time to view your art. A professor of mine always told me, "Art is never right or wrong, Art is what the beholder/viewer makes of it."
Then comes also the question, "What is art?" "Is this considered art?" It all depends on what you see.

don't take it too personally because I've made things that should have received more minuses than they should have. Also often times people give minuses not because they don't think it's good but because they believe it's too far up on the highest ranked list.

| I agree hundred per cent with misschatterbox. I vote quite often and don't want to leave everytime a comment. It's so simple to hit the + or - buttons, sometimes I just hang out in the gallerys, check the pics and rate them. |
