Sugar Plum mentioned that she was having problems making an avatar for herself. I wanted to lend my helpful services as a fellow Brother. I can help you resize your picture to include it in the 80x80 avatar size requirements.
I'll temporarily hold them on a picture site until you upload them onto your profile. |

| I know that if you have MSPaint, you can just open the desired picture on there and shrink it, but I was wondering how do you made a section of a snapshot into an avatar? |

I was trying to be helpful. Not an expert!
I usually crop the part that I want. I use the software that came with my printer to help me. Really basic software. |

I didn't do my avatar as a snapshot section but to do so you save the snapshot onto your computer, using MSpaint cut the bit you want out, delete the rest, resize the image and finnally save it as an appropriate image type.
Hope this helps! |

Try this...[MWSnap]
Its a cool screen capture utility that allows you to take grabs of anything on screen, any size.
You can also put in a box grab size of 80x80 if you want and get it exactly the size you want straight from the screen. |

You don't need a program to get a screenshot of something. Just press the "Print Screen" button on your computer and go into paint and paste it in.
You can also just use the link at the bottom left of every snapshot that lets you save it. |

This is a great tip xreko. I didn't know you could do this until last year when I googled it. I always thought you needed a camera, but it turns out you don't. Good job. |

| Yeah, the Print Screen button is really useful, and lots of people don't really know what it does. |

prt screen options in windows or whatever are ok but it is limited. It does the basics, but its just so much easier to have a little util that does so much more...
Again however it is down to personal preference... |
