Ok this is not a bug but a feature:
When you rate another player, let's say you give him a "minus", it reverts back to neutral after a while.
Same if you give him a "plus!". Even when many other players rate someone "plus", his Karma raises up to +++ but then slowly reverts back to neutral.
That's not a bug, that's how it's meant to work!
The idea is that each behavior is transient. You like what another person does one minute, but the next minute he's up to no good, or vice versa.
Our Karma system aims to reflect that. Each vote only lasts one minute! You can only vote one way once in a minute, and after one minute it reverts back.
So, if at any point in time, everyone agrees that there's a bully, he will amass 3 minuses --- very quickly, and he'll be off to the exile, or "bully room", as some of us call it.
It's not a bug - it's a feature as it adapts to the ever changing way in which we perceive the current artwork and its participants.
Mind you, we also store a global "karma" for each player that we don't forget... so as admins, we have the ability to identify notorious bullies and destroyers and blacklist them! Naturally, we hope we'll never have to resort to such drastic measures.
The idea of the Karma system is based on the notion of using actual social consensus on what constitutes creative and collaborative behaviour, as opposed to wanton destruction and bullying.
Read more about how the Karma system works in detail.
So what do you think?
Is it adequate? Is it effective in getting rid of antisocial behaviour? |

| I think it's pretty good you know, but, maybe if there was a way to incorporate doing this offline. Like someone goes in your room and destroys everything. You know who did it but they're off scott free. Is there any way they can be punished for being inconsiderate? |

Yes, and it's very easy to find the culprit!
Just take a snapshot of the wanton destruction. The tiles moved by this person will bear his name, or in case your room is not members-only, the IP address of the offending unregistered users. |

| Yeah, I know how we can find them but there's still not really a way for them to be punished is there? |

| Well maybe the first time that'd be too extreme but if it happens often that'd be perfect. What if the Broth had like a 3 strikes system or something similar? |

Three strikes to the 'bully room' and then a suspension from the site perhaps...say a week first time then increasing for repeat offenders to a life ban. |

| If they had three hits in the bully tank for every supension and three stages of suspension that'd be nine chances...if they still misbehave after eight then I say we shootem. (all right bannem...I'm just feeling bolshy) |
