is our first experiment with a more "mature" color set.
Compare this with the "kiddie color set" of .
We've discussed in our color psychology article how the choice of tile colors influences the artists participating in TheBroth. We reported that using kiddie colors for the tiles, this abundant range of colors seems to turn everyone into a 5-year old, at least when it comes to creating "art".
When using a less heterogenous color set of browns and terracotta tones, the apparent artist age of the contributers skyrocketed to what, 10 years old? |

I very much like the concept, but personally have a distaste for all of the yellow. IMHO it is too bold a color for what you are trying to achieve (same reason you didn't put in FF0000, I assume). While it is far superior to a mix of saturated colors, I'm not sure the oversaturated yellow blends in well enough with the darker reds, browns, and beiges, most of which are a fair amount less saturated.
I think different color scheme rooms would be cool (aside from simply your own room -- meaning the homepage would link you to either the main broth, or to a set of public rooms where color scheme-specif rooms would be available to join.

Good point. We're updating the colors in the main room (http://www.thebroth.com/mosaic) frequently.
Our latest color selection is made out of 3 different Van Gogh paintings, and it is producing remarkable art work:

I'm sorry about asking this twice, (once in the SodaPlay Dome) *still wonders how Marcus got there*, but how do you change the colors of your room? I don't know why I can't see it...

I've always wondered when exactly it is that you change the colors in the room, because often when I visit the colors are different, and I was wondering if it is done at a certain time and on a certain day?
Thanks. |

With the ones in the public room, /mosaic, we're pretty happy right now. These colors have produced quite some amazing artworks and they are instantly accessible for everyone.
In the members room, we change colors every few days, at no particular time, but mostly when nobody is looking |
