The fix for this issue is now live. The colors in the beta version should match the colors in the normal version.

Small update:
On the textures page, you can now also upload JPEGs and GIFs. Files in jpg format will now retain their relatively small filesize (previously they were reformatted to 24bit PNGs).
GIFs with transparency also work. I wouldn't recommend them though as gif files don't have the smooth alpha-channel transparency (or opacity, rather) of 24-bit PNG files, and so shapes made with transparent gifs can look a bit jaggy or pixelated.
Also, please remember to delete unused textures that were just used for experimenting in order to keep the textures page less cluttered.
We will have paging and rating and comments(!) and all in the future, but this will take some time. So until then, please clean up after yourself
