I've met a couple of minor famous people.
Tony Wright - Lead singer from Terrorvision http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorvision / http://www.terrorvision.co.uk/
Nick Kelly - Lead singer from The Fat Lady Sings http://www.thefatladysings.net/
Tommy Walsh - Ground Force http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/tv_and_radio/gforce_index.shtml / http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ground_Force
Billy Connelly
Jimmy Saville
My brother is actualy friends with Tony Wright, they email each other occasionally. When they did a record signing (D'ya Wanna Go Faster) where we lived we went to say hi and were ushered to the front of the queue for a chat
My friend and I went to a TFLS gig and ended up chatting to Nick Kelly after the show. We jokingly asked if they'd play a gig at our local town (small village really lol) and he said they would if they were asked by the promotor of The Grand (cinema that holds gigs also) We asked the owners of The Grand (we were regulars at the gigs there) and gave them TFLS's details. Two months later they played there!! I received a signed setlist with personal thanks for inviting them to play
Tommy Walsh was appearing at a local show (Truckfest) and I had a short chat about the show with him.
I met Billy Connelly when I was small on the day of Andrew & Fergie's wedding (mum took us to London to be in the crowd outside Buckingham Palace - we saw Andrew & Fergie go past. I don't remember meeting Billy though, mum says we were in Green Park having a picnic and he stopped to say hi.
Jimmy Saville took part in a Fun Run I did when I was about 8. He walked past and said hello that was all lol |

well, actually, you have all technically met a famous person.
me. duh.
i DID have the opportunity to meet trent reznor, by going to some free listening parties, (what, with trent reznor getting too much media attention AT THE EXACT time that i have decided i hate him) but it's a rolling rock ad on wheels, so you have to be 21+. i am not. but i wouldn't want to meet trent reznor in person; he's be pissed that i'm the only one of his fans that he is TALLER than. ha.

A friend of mine in the UK met Jake Gyllenhaal in Spain recently. She said he was so nice and better looking in real life. He was filming some new movie or something like that.
I've only met local tv personalities, no one that's famous internationally though. |

I've met a few authors including Jaquline Wilson, umm... some famous showjumpers: the whittakers, harrie smoulders. Liso, from Newsround.
I'm sure I've met someone else as well, the name is on the tip of my tongue... but i can't remember. I'll post when i remember.
And last week I was in St Ives when Rolf Harris was there, but we didn't meet |
