So, TheBroth is a "Massively Multiplayer Collaborative Art Project". Interesting to see that someone mentioned TheBroth on Wikipedia. Probably a user here did it. Who? Anyone wanna fess up?
I just thought this was interesting. Now go visit more interesting threads. |

Well, basically anyone can add information on Wikipedia, it's not like it's a professional scientific digest of any kind so no big WOW from me!
Also, why are we asking who added the Broth on Wikipedia, if all we have to do is look at the creators behind this website. Wouldn't you try to promote your website as many places as possible? Doesn't take a genius to figure this one out. |

Obviously, but it's still kinda sorta maybe interesting.

I don't think so; if you look at the guy's contributions he says something being a Broth user not the creator. Besides, a plain old user might want to "get the word out" just as much as anyone else. |

If I'm an owner of a website yes I want to advertise in as many places as possible but wikipedia wouldn't be on the top of my list. Sure it's a great place to learn and I think it's great people are writing about broth but as an advertising tool it's not the greatest, at least in my opinion. Wikipedia is more for educational purposes than for advertising but it doesn't hurt your advertising being there.
Also it was bag who started the article as seen here:

| Sure, Wikipedia isn't an "advertising" sort of website, but people who flock to it like the bible might think that it's a reliable source and will be tempted to join this site. |

Plus TheBroth is educational
I quite like Wiki, it's moderated and they try to keep it as truthful and unbiased as possible. I agree with both MissC and IM, lots of people use it and it's a good way of getting the site known even if it isn't a pure "advertising" site. |
