LOL Shehz, It's a real common mistake.
At the Clinic I work in we never take a client's word for it when we admit kittens to be desexed, the nurses always check to make sure their owner has got the sex they think they have and often there is a quick name change. |

Wow. I knew it happened with hamsters, but I could always tell with our kittens.
I remember buying a hamster once, and she had babies a few weeks after we brought her home. A little surprise. |

| he is going to be two this august sabre. Well it was the vet who said he was a girl in the first place and then after 'rechecking' we found out it was a boy. I dont know whether I should be annoyed or depressed or simply not feel anything. All i can say is-I am CONFUSED! |

they are lovely sabretooth - female cats can mate with several tom cats round about the same time so in a litter the fathers may be different males!!!
maybe thats what happened with this litter?

| yea i think thats what must've happened, i think its the same with the kittens that i have, i mean they are all ginger kittens and the mother is tortoise shell colour, so i think there might be more than one father for them to turn out such a different colour, either that or its like an inherited gene from the grandmother/father cos i think the grandmother was a grey sort of colour too |

| The cats are really cute sabre. And about the colour it cud be inherited coz its possible in very rare cases. But more possibility of having different fathers.lol |

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Not enough to make a coat, though.
I've never heard about being able to have more than one father per litter. I'll have to look that one up.
Just looked it up. The technical term for it is superfecundity.
