Wow, KG, once again I am amazed and happy hearing somebody actually say that!!
In fact we're trying to achieve EXACTLY what you said. We hope to be able to work with global organisations like UNICEF and directly raise funds, for example via the auctioning off of contest-winning artworks on Ebay, with 100% of the proceeds going to UNICEF, The Red Cross, or similar organisations.
We've started locally and we're donating money (all our own received donations plus some extra) to the
Western Australian (WA) Special Needs Children's Christmas Party organised by the Leukaemia Foundation (view the certificate).
The Christmas Party caters for seriously ill, disabled and disadvantaged children. It will be held at the Claremont Football Oval on Sunday 3 December 2006. The aim is to give these special children one of the happiest days of their lives complete with gifts, food, drinks, games and a visit from Santa. Nearly 2000 VIP children will be invited to attend this free party.
We hope that we together with commercial contest sponsors and charitable organisations we can provide value and add to the global good while at the same time having fun at TheBroth!
If anyone has contacts with charitable organisations that are interested in cooperating with TheBroth, please let me know via our contact form. |
