People who will do anything for an award

I think its sad that people will do anything for an award. I have been a member of the broth for nearly a month and it took me a couple of weeks to realise what the award system is, I just take them as they come. The broth is about fun and art not who can get the most points! who agrees?

I have a good deal of sympathy for your view. However everybody gets 'different kicks from different licks' and some people are naturaly competitive. We will have to live with that I suppose. I just love brothing...awards or not, but I do get a boost if people like what I do, it's only natural that you should enjoy your snaps doing well in the gallery for instance.
Enjoy what you do it for, that's what it's about.

Well, it can have an impact on how people interact, I think, because of the top players list. Whether someone's criticism or assistance is accepted or not might be impacted by their position on the list. Granted, not a huge impact, but some.

Maybe weasel. I know I'm up near the top of the list but I have seen amazing work from people with lower scores and I would dearly love to know how they do it...Some just come on to make art and I realy respect that.
