How do I delete an unwanted snapshot? I made a mistake with a snapshot and didn't notice the mistake until I copied and saved it to the Gallery.

I then, set it to private only. I fixed the problem and re-took a snapshot of the fixed picture, but now I have the one with the mistake in my "Private Pics" how do I erase/delete this one?

Thanks in advance.

Click on "Delete this snapshot" right below the actual snapshot (NOT under the thunbmail, but in the actual full view).

On a slightly different note...artwork that makes it to the top ten or so...is it there for perpituity or does it have a finite life in the gallery to allow newer works to ascend to the top?

yeah they do get replaced by better snapshots. often some which have more comments than the others are sent down the list.

Does number of comments really play any role.. If so, does it depend on relative number of +ve or -ve comments.. This will be messy..

The rank or position of an artwork depends only on its rating. It has nothing to do with the number of comments or how old it is.

Bayesian rating ensures that the more votes an artwork has in total, the more certain we are about its rank.

Initially every artwork rates as "average". Once an artwork has more and more votes, and it reaches about the average number of votes per artwork in the gallery, the certainty is high and its final position in the gallery has been reached. Read more about it here: http://www.thebroth.com/blog/118/bayesian-rating

Newer artworks that are better will get a better rating and thus eventually end up higher than existing artworks.

There is a mechanism to auto reject artworks once it is certain that they are below a certain quality standard:

Comments are interesting...It's rare though not unknown for players who give a negative vote to make a comment because the vote is shown with the comment.
If you want to give 'constructive critisism' having given a neg you would be unlikely to do so. You may feel that retaliatory voting may be used against you or simply that you would be embarrased for the artist(s) to know you 'Down Graded' their work.
The Positive voters are listed seperately, but the negative are not, UNLESS you make a comment.
A case for secret ballot?
Perhaps more people would be honest if they did't have to reveal their vote.
A side effect, of course, is that you may make an unwarranted Positive vote just to be able to make a comment without offence.
Anybody got views on this? Confused Shocked Confused Question

i have to confess when i give negative (and i give it so much)i dont make comments for obvious reasons.......and i think ppl do need to give critisizing comments so that creator know where is he lacking at...and i think u can only expect ppl to be honestly giving their comments by removing "the vote with comment" feature and also "show who has given +"
only then there wud be honest comments around.

and those ppl who give positive comment and negative vote(???weird???)....it wud be good for them too as they wont get caught LOL

I must say this coz i have experienced it, u see GOGO sometimes people accidentally press the -ve although they really wanted to give a +ve vote. This is really unfortunate and I know the people should be more careful but no 1s perfect. That is y I even sugested to be able to change a vote but i guess there r complications and yeah when i give a -ve vote i usually donot write a comment Embarassed but i know I should explain my reason.

There has been some discussion elswhere in the Forum concerning giving the opportunity to change an accidental vote within a short time scale. At least this would prevent the pos comment/neg votes being given by accident.
