Q: Does TheBroth require visitors or webmasters to install or download any special software?

A: No. TheBroth uses standard JavaScript and Flash and should work fine in all modern browsers.

Q: Can I have more than one room?

A: Yes - you can have as many rooms as you want or need.

Q: When I sign up, can I use any user name?

A: Yes, except for those already in use and those specified in the Terms of Service. The user name must be made of alphanumerical characters (a-z, 0-9), with a maximum length of 20 characters.

Q: Are there any fees or extra costs involved?

A: No. TheBroth service is completely free.

Q: How is TheBroth able to offer this service free of charge?

A: Truth be told, we actually can't keep this up much longer. Although we do have advertising, it isn't generating enough revenue to keep TheBroth up and running. Please donate to help with our server and bandwidth costs to keep this free service going.

Q: Can my banner ad contain rich media or JavaScript?

A: No. Only static images (jpeg, gif and png) are allowed.

Q: Does my banner have to link somewhere or can I also use a non-clickable image?

A: To make the image and/or the text links non-clickable, leave the URL field(s) empty.

Q: If I promote my room URL, will I lose visitors who in the future go directly to http://www.thebroth.com instead of to my room?

A: No. TheBroth.com sets a cookie when the visitor first enters TheBroth through a particular URL (eg. the URL of your room). Future visits to thebroth.com homepage will direct the visitor back to YOUR room.

Q: Should I use a shared mosaic or create one specific for my room?

A: Using the shared mosaic means that all visitors to TheBroth, including your room, see the exact same mosaic. Your room will look lively! Use a room-specific mosaic if you prefer that visitors to your room interact with their own mosaic, separate from the rest of TheBroth.

Q: Can I choose to link to whatever I want with the links in my room?

A: Yes, as long as they adhere to the Terms of Service.

Q: Am I able to change my links whenever I like?

A: Yes. Simply login and edit your room settings.

Q: Does TheBroth have a referral program?

A: No.

Q: Is there a limit to the amount of users that can visit my room?

A: No.
