Red lining seems to be the Broth's user's version of flaming and other sorts of immature activity that is as common as dirt on the internet.
It is my belief that internet flaming and red lining - have a lot in common.
Anonymity seem's to be a common element in what serves to easily permit this type of behavior. In other words, with red lining for example - if a person had to walk up to you personally face to face, grab a drawing you were working on out of your hand and then scribble all over it; I think they probably wouldn't likely do that but they will red line your drawing online because they can do so anonymously and thus not face any real consequences. Red lining like flaming is a coward's way of acting out immature impulses and demostrates a general lack of maturity.
I think this anonymous bad behavior that has been happening all over the internet since it's inception has been damaging to the internet's reputation and usefulness as a tool for communication and collaboration. It discourages mature individuals from participating.
Those of us who don't approve of destructive and disrespectful forms of expression - we should not easily tolerate that behavior and neither should the owner's and administrators of websites.
Just my two cents worth...
What a fun web site and great people. I am amazed that people can collaborate to make pieces of art. I am also amazed at the quality of art that can be produced with the tools provided.
