I used to be an English teacher, but now I am a teacher of year 5. I found really funny the way that children come out with. Like when I said that you need to turn to page 25 in your maths text book. I also wrote it on the board. A boy named Jack asked me, what page do we need to go to? I asked him if he could see the board and he said yes. There was silence. Then I wrote on the board, Year 5, 2007 and Jack. Then I said, you do know that you are in year 5, it is the year 2007 and your name was Jack. Everyone in the classroom started to burst out laughing.
I did an spelling test at the beginning of the year and the results were terrible. The highest was 17 out of 20. They were quite easy and I was surprised. So I taught ways of remembering spellings and other things.
So now so far it is going well!
