Hmm... categorising this post is a little difficult. It ain't quite Religion and Philosophy and it ain't quite Sports either. Spirituality would be the best category, but that doesn't exist... yet. This post will live in Sports for now because I don't consider yoga a religion.
Anyway, it's about time I said a little something about yoga since it's my passion (besides TheBroth).
I already have a blog outside in the great big www where I write about my yoga experiences, Ashtanga Diary. I mostly whinge about some ache or pain, or something I can't quite do yet.
Right now I'm just recovering from a hip injury and suffering from some new back twinges. I'm also heading back to class (6-8 am, 3 or 5 days a week, haven't decided yet), so that'll be interesting, well, for me anyway... I'm not much of a morning person, yet.
I started yoga purely out of curiosity. I was pretty inactive prior to starting it, opting for a couch and ice cream instead of any form of exercise. I was hooked straight away and have come a long way from total inflexibility, no muscle strength and zero stamina.
I absolutely love yoga, addicted to it, you might say, but I've been continually learning the concept of non-attachment, so it doesn't take over so much of my life anymore... so I think... my friends and family might say otherwise :)
Anyway, long enough of a post for today... as we say in yoga-speak... namaste and shanti.
