Desktop Feed Readers
Modern browsers such as Firefox 1.5+, IE 7+ and Safari2+ can handle RSS feeds such as TheBroth’s, but in general desktop software for feed reading offer a lot more features such as images, audio/visual notifications, and much more.
Recommended feed reading software for your desktop (all of these are free):
- Feedreader (Windows)
- Vienna (OSX)
- Liferea (Linux)
If you know of any other good feed reading software or can think of anything else that should be included in the feed, please mention it in the forum.
Important: Please don’t set your feed reader to check for updates at an interval any shorter than 5 minutes. Doing so will not be of any benefit as the feed data are currently cached with a lifetime of 5 minutes.
