Great detail and pain-staking recreation. Yet, the subject matter prevents me from rating this +.

I can think of nothing positive at all when confronted with a rendition of an AK-47.

I hate your job YOU WAR PROMOTER!!!

    Everyone to their own opinion.

However this is not promoting war. There are no bodies, pain, blood, wounds or conflict. It is but a rendition of an object, albeit one that can be involved in the delivery, but not at fault in its own right.

It has to be used to cause the above, but by someone. Judge the human race...!!!! not the object.

Having said that I shall perhaps refine my subject matter accordingly if general opinion prevails.

Having served in the British Army, served in conflict zones, and faced this very weapon, I still have no hate for it. It is the wielder that is in my nightmares and should therefore be the target of people’s opinion. This weapon is without doubt one of the greatest in its field, one of the 20th Century’s evolutionary inventions, a significant part of human history and should be viewed in its own right, and not as associated with its heinous use.

I will not however use this subject matter again.
  11. True this shouldn't be 100% rated, but how can you knock down a picture saying it's promoting war? It's taking some colours and putting them into a shape, not blowing up or killing something. You monks.

Forget the war thing, the picture itself looks great and must have taken ages.

I had no problem giving this a plus, but there are some (very few) pics at The Broth which I just find offensive ... so I don't rate them at all

I am grateful for those that spent a moment looking at and appreciating the time, effort and attention that this creation required, rather than baulking at the immediate vision and thought of what the picture is of and stereotypically stands for.

I also like it pretty much and I don't think that it is promoting war at all. Great job!

I like your work usually but cant rate it + as the subject is not to my taste.
  26. I have no hesitation in rating this picture a big, fat +. At the end of the day, this simply an amazing piece of artwork to an incredibly high standard... and it's on that alone which this should be judged (and this is coming from someone who has lost a loved one to war and am still able to take it on artistic merit alone). Yet another amazing piece from you Frost, well done.

It's not the gun that kills.
    It's the man behind.
