Edit: This snapshot looks really bad as a thumbnail.
Another edit: By the way, this is cinnix's first collaboration, according to his profile.

This is humour that doesnt live here, does nothing to keep the content of TheBroth pages suitable for younger eyes, and i suspose as intimated above is perhaps an indication of the age of some of you, if not actual then mental...
Funny in its own right, somewhere else, but not suitable here. Sorry.

And personally, I don't think kids under 13 should be allowed on the internet unsupervised.

I see nothing wrong in this. *Furthermore,People commenting on here negatively should not be worried about the content presented on here, but rather where the parents of the young viewers who will be viewing this are. It is their parent's responsibility to take care of their internet viewing pages. Not the people who made this.
*Age is not a factor and should not be considered whem viewing or judging a fellow Brother's art. (mental or physical age, who cares really)
I myself, would've taken part of this Broth Art. I wouldn't have cared what the content was just as long as we collaborated together as Broth-friends. This is what is most important here. Camarederie and freedom of expression!

Brr…FrostNZ…Quote… Funny in its own right, somewhere else & …Quote… This is humour that doesn’t live here, does nothing to keep the content of TheBroth pages suitable
Dollydaydream…Quote … bizarre but I`m not offended by it.
I am not offended by it; I just think this site is an inappropriate place for this humour..
Thirty-seven…Quote… The tile colors were perfect to make this, and we had a lot of fun doing this.
I’m sure they were and I sure you did, however the tiles colours are perfect for millions of other pictures that could have been done, and im sure the fun would have been just as good.
Masterchief2219…Quote… Most kids would have a good laugh at this. & I don't think kids under 13 should be allowed on the internet unsupervised
So would I have done, however that doesn’t make it right. Kids would probably laugh at most things considered inappropriate and that doesn’t make it right.

Misspie…Quote … is their parent's responsibility to take care of their internet viewing pages. Not the people who made this.
And I agree, some level of parental control on viewing habits of internet etc, however that doesn’t make it right for you to put this kind of image onto pages of a Web Site that is striving to be seen as family orientated and open to all ages..?
You cannot justify doing something inappropriate just by using the argument that someone else should make sure it’s not seen. People providing the visible content on the web are just as, if not more so responsible for it and its suitability than those parents you are talking about monitoring their kids viewing habits.

If you think your kids are going to suffer by viewing things like this on TheBroth.com then don't let them view this site anymore. If small miniscule items such as the above seem offensive, then really, all you have to do is skip it and move on to the next picture. You don't have to keep viewing it, re-examining it, and over-analyzing it. What you have done is completely blown things out of proportion.

A toilet is not inappropriate. One is in every house. People use them everyday. If a toilet was so "inappropriate", why do they have them at school for young children to see?
Brrr-FrostNZ, you said that this was "a site that any parent would probably say is clean and fun." This website has a chat feature and people can create images using the tiles. With a chat feature it's not really that safe, with all the people that you can talk to here. In the forums, there are some really old complaints about people depicting inappropriate things. Wouldn't a parent check the forums and other artwork before deeming it safe and clean?

Perhaps you should comment on the tile-technique/work rather than the context? If you did this, you'd see that the detail work is excellent.

2. I did skip it and move on but came back and deemed a comment to those concerned appropriate.
3. I’ve blown nothing out of proportion. I’ve given my opinion which everyone is free to air…and it stands as valid..(In my eyes obviously)
4. Everyone does indeed peep and poop, but it is not really something that is desired to be seen otherwise all toilets would be unisex and open plan.
5. You are right, I did a gun, but it is a static image, it is not firing, killing or blowing holes in people with gushing blood. Had you done just the toilet that would have been of a similar comparison, however you have included a floater and squirrel pee which was unnecessary extra embellishment. Different league..
24 Aug 06
7. Other images that are deemed inappropriate are deleted with content as described, and I am surprised that this is still here.
8. The image of the gun is not violent. It would however be so if it were being used to kill people as in 5.. (Read the image comments trail for further views on that one, including comments from me about future suitability of creations. In other words I do not think I produced an offensive image, but I have, considering the audience of this site, tempered my creations to meet a more suitable level of subject matter. So I have misspie, to quote ‘take a bit of your own advice’
9 The image detail is indeed good, and time and effort is indeed evident, but my point all along is not the quality of the image it is the final submission and its level of depicted decency. Toilet-fine, squirrel-fine, floater- unnecessary

Everyone to their own opinion, and the freedom to air them. I did, short and to the point, and got a volly of backfire for it, so who is blowing it all out of proportion. I’ve said my piece and I believe so have you all.
Happy tiling….

I am going to steal your phrase "not suitable here", and apply it to this argument. We all made the mistake in creating a heated debate that will never go anywhere (after all, this is the internet). I agree that we end this and move on.
In other words, let's be friends.

Everyone here is allowed their own opinion about an artwork, and this is a place where we should be able to share those opinions.
Personally, it took me a while to figure out the artwork, and once I did, I had a good laugh. I *like* it overall, I would've *loved* it minus the cornpoop and squirrel pee.
The squirrel itself was cute though.
Peace to all.
